SANDBLASTING GLASS BEADS BLASTING

Whether the lacquer layer should be removed from the sheet metal frame or the aluminum motor housing of the old Vespa should shine again in new brilliance. We offer the right blasting method for every application.

Sandblasting with a sharp-edged blasting agent is used to paint frames and metal parts. Care should be taken to ensure that the beam pressure is not too great and that the beam parts are not damaged.

Motor housing and, in general, also aluminum parts, which must in principle remain bright with glass bead bead blasted. This gives a very nice silky matt surface.

The metal parts are blasted with a sharp-edged sand. It is very important that the metal parts after the blasting are immediately primed within the next 24 hours, so that no rusting rust occurs.

Motor housings should always be blasted with round glass beads during complete restorations in the course of a motor revision. This makes the case as new and it is also dirt-resistant. Just as the Vespa was delivered from factory.

Often this is underestimated. The Vespa or Lambretta is completely painted and beautifully restored - and then an old optically galloping engine block is installed. Please do not !

Components that are powder coated or plastic coated must also be sandblasted beforehand and not with glass beads. The surface has to be as rough as possible so that the coating is good.
