Good tires are particularly important in two-wheelers. It is important to ensure that the tire does not become too old because the rubber loses adhesion within a few years. The rubber compound hardens and the tire does not have good grip on the road. Older than 6 years should not be scooters and motorcycles.

For vehicles traveling at speeds greater than 50 km / h, the tires must be fine-balanced with the rims to ensure a smooth running. We balance the wheel sets to approximately 2.5 g.

Also 10 inch Vespa and Lambretta wheel sets can be balanced.

This must be done with the respective brake drum. Especially in the field of racing, this has proven useful. The vehicle runs much more stably at speeds above 80 km / h. In the case of automatic rollers, the entire exhaust system and, if necessary, the additional swingarm must be disassembled for the exchange of the rear tire. This makes a rear wheel change quite time-intensive.

Our current favorite for sporty 10 inch vehicles is the Sava Mitas MC35 in the size 3.50-10 and the Sava Mitas MC34 in the size 90 / 90-10. These tires offer the best adhesion on dry and also good adhesion on wet road. A slightly softer mixture should always be selected.

Winter tires have a completely different rubber compound. At temperatures around the freezing point or below, the rubber mixture still has a good adhesion to the road surface. While a summer tire is relatively hard through the cold and quickly leads to a fall. In addition, winter tires have a coarser profile which helps to improve the grip on rainy roads and snow.
